A&E Announces First Scripted Drama Series Development Slate in More Than Five Years
Projects from Joel Silver, Sheldon Turner, Dan Therriault, Bruce McKenna, Steven Bochco and Billy Finkelstein are among those in the works at the cable channel.

DESCRIPTION:
(from A&E's press release) DRY RIVER is a crime drama set in a wealthy Texas border community and focusing on the local sheriff and the Federal agent newly assigned to the city who, clashing over vastly different crime-fighting agendas, carry the extra burden of being an estranged father and son. Their personal relationship will play out amidst cases of trafficking in all its forms, inextricably linked to the birth of a child in the no man's land between the United States and Mexico. Joel Silver (The Matrix, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard) is the executive producer. Michael Frost Beckner (Spy Game) will write the script for DRY RIVER from Warner Horizon Television.
