· [regularly airs] · mondays from 12:01 AM-12:30 AM EST
(from FX's press release, June 2021) From Co-Creators and Executive Producers Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, Reservation Dogs is a half-hour comedy that follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California. "Bear Smallhill" (D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai) is destined to be a warrior, and a leader. The only problem is he's not a good fighter, and the gang doesn't really consider him the leader. But with the guidance of a questionable spirit guide, he just might get there. "Elora Danan" (Devery Jacobs) may be the true leader of the group. But she's so focused on getting to California, and so oblivious to her own power, that she often can't see the beauty and goodness in herself and all around her. Smart-mouthed tough girl "Willie Jack" (Paulina Alexis) is the beating heart of the group. She's always looking out for her crew. Meanwhile, "Cheese" (Lane Factor) is the gentle, quiet ride-or-die who is so willing to go along with the group that he never stops to consider what his own dreams might be. One year ago, Daniel, the fifth member of the Reservation Dogs, died. Struggling to make sense of the loss, the remaining four blame the reservation, its poverty and its ability to crush the spirit. They decide to honor Daniel by adopting his dream of getting to California as their own. To succeed, they will have to save enough money, outmaneuver the methheads at the junkyard on the edge of town, constantly dodge conspiracy-obsessed Lighthorseman "Big" (Zahn McClarnon) and survive a gang war against a much tougher rival gang, led by the enigmatic "Jackie" (Elva Guerra). Reservation Dogs has Native rappers, catfish, Indigenous superstitions and spirits both hilarious and terrifying, laughter, tears, unexpected grandmothers, decent people, terrible people and a cavalcade of supporting characters who color and shade this already vibrant world. Filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Reservation Dogs is a breakthrough in Indigenous representation on television both in front of and behind the camera. Every writer, director and series regular on the show is Indigenous. This first-of-its-kind creative team tells a story that resonates with them and their lived experiences - and invites audiences into a surprisingly familiar and funny world.

A seemingly impossible case, it remained unsolved for 15 years, leaving the small community and the police force entrusted to protect it with a painful open wound. On the night Helén disappeared, there were about twenty suspected pedophiles living in Hörby. This is the prelude to The Hunt for a Killer, which follows the unwavering journey of the two detectives Åkesson and Olhed who led an investigation team that solved numerous homicides in southern Sweden and who would eventually, against all odds, find Helén's killer. The Hunt for a Killer is a story about a region left behind, class inequalities and social exclusion, but it's also a story about a man of integrity who pushed back against the authorities, revolted against corruption and never gave up.

INVISIBLE MONSTERS: SERIAL KILLERS IN AMERICA (A&E)
· [series premiere] · 8/15/21 at 9:00 PM
· [regularly airs] · weeknights from 9:00 PM-11:00 PM EST
(from A&E's press release, June 2021) A&E Network delves into the stories and circumstances that shaped our collective concept of the modern-day serial killer with the three-night event "Invisible Monsters: Serial Killers in America" beginning Sunday, August 15 at 9pm ET/PT. The limited series will be the first to examine the intersecting paths of five of America's most notorious killers - Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, The Green River Killer and BTK - who all operated during the same period, across two decades. New series "I Survived a Serial Killer" will explore what it is like to be one of the few people ever to escape from the clutches of a serial predator. The series premieres on Wednesday, August 18 at 9:30pm ET/PT. Over six hours, "Invisible Monsters: Serial Killers in America" weaves the stories of five infamous serial killers - Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, The Green River Killer and BTK - together into a single narrative exploring the perfect storm of what was happening in culture, communications, law enforcement, media, forensics, and technology that allowed them to proliferate and evade capture. Names that still strike fear into the hearts of many, these seemingly normal men developed disturbingly intimate and hands-on approaches to murder that were at odds with their soft-spoken public existence. Most of our public understanding of the modern serial killer comes from the 20 years that all five men were active. We still struggle to reconcile the uncomfortable dichotomy of monsters hiding in plain sight. The stories of these killers and their victims will be told by those closest to them, including exclusive interviews with survivors, investigators, forensic psychologists, prosecutors, and victims' family members.

In each episode, the competitors use a specially constructed ice cream lab on the Ben & Jerry's factory grounds in Waterbury, Vermont. After concocting their creations, the competitors hit the streets to have the public vote their favorite flavor, with the winner earning immunity from elimination. Judges Jet and Ali Tila and Ben & Jerry's Flavor Guru Chris Rivard determine which competitor was the least successful, sending that ice cream maker home and that flavor to the infamous Ben & Jerry's Flavor Graveyard.

(from Discovery, Inc.'s press release, July 2021) This summer, go behind bars and behind the scenes for a first-hand look at how one small town is handling the worst drug epidemic in American history and turning the tables on the justice system with THE PROGRAM: PRISON DETOX. The first three episodes will premiere on August 25th on discovery+, the definitive non-fiction, real-life subscription streaming service, and additional episodes will drop weekly after that. The staff of the Sevier County, Arkansas jail piloted a revolutionary program to save its community, which has been devastated by drug addiction, by offering qualified inmates the unprecedented chance to walk free if they graduate from a three-month drug rehabilitation program. The series chronicles the emotional journeys of inmates, called trustees once they begin the program, who are facing upwards of 70 years in prison as they endeavor to see their prison sentences erased - if they successfully put in the work, graduate from the program and adhere to the rules set forth by its administrators. It's their last chance at redemption, but they'll have to reckon with their own inner demons and repair damaged relationships with family and friends, all while enduring long days and navigating the challenges of life behind bars. The program, which has a 72% success rate and is in its 14th iteration, unites the trustees with a team of specialists as they attend classes and maintain a rigorous work schedule within the jail. Program creators Robert Gentry, the sheriff, and Chris Wolcott, the jail administrator, have assembled a team who will do everything they can to set the trustees up for success both within the program and when they renter society. Trustees will work with substance abuse counselor Lynette Gilmore, whose personal history dealing drugs before turning her life around uniquely qualifies her to aid the trustees in their road to recovery, as well as a family advocate, a deputy prosecutor, a peer recovery specialist and additional jail staff.

· [regularly airs] · mondays from 9:00 PM-10:00 PM EST
(from The CW's press release, May 2021) Over the last century at least, four thousand four hundred people who were overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized vanished without a trace off the face of the planet. Last night, inexplicably, they were all returned in an instant to Detroit, MI, having not aged a day and with no memory of what happened to them. As the government races to understand the phenomenon, analyze the potential threat, and contain the story, an empathetic social worker (Joseph David-Jones, "Arrow") and hardened community corrections officer (Ireon Roach, "Candyman") are among the civil servants called upon to deal with the uncanny refugees. The new partners clash in ideology and approach, but gradually find they have more in common than they thought as they become familiar with those under their care, including: a lawyer and resilient young mother from the early aughts (Brittany Adebumola, "Grand Army"), whose unexpected reunion with her estranged husband (Cory Jeacoma, "Jersey Boys") and suddenly teenaged daughter is immediately rocky; a WWI Army surgeon fresh from the Harlem Renaissance (TL Thompson, Broadway's "Straight White Men"); an influential hidden figure from the Mississippi civil rights movement (Jaye Ladymore, "Empire"); a black sheep reverend-scion born to a notable televangelist family in 1990s Chicago (Derrick A. King, "Call Your Mother"); a seemingly shallow but misunderstood D-list reality TV star (newcomer Khailah Johnson) from Miami, circa 2015; and two wildly different unaccompanied teens, a vibrant girl (newcomer Autumn Best) whose bell bottoms give away her 1970s upbringing, and an introspective, prescient boy (Amarr Wooten, "Liv and Maddie") whose origin remains a mystery. These unwilling time travelers, collectively the 4400, must grapple with their impossible new reality, the fact that they've been returned with a few... upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were brought back now for a reason they're only beginning to understand. Based on the original TV series created by Scott Peters and Renee Echevarria, 4400 is from CBS Studios and is executive produced by Ariana Jackson, who wrote the pilot, Sunil Nayar, and Anna Fricke and Laura Terry of Pursued By a Bear.
