When news of PFC Smithfield�s death in an ambush in Iraq reaches the U.S., reporters swarm his family asking them their views on the war. Harm volunteers to assist Mrs. Smithfield (Walters) as she navigates the mournful period of preparing to bury her only son, while reporters press her for salacious details. Meanwhile, Mac and Bud investigate charges that the armored vests, like the one worn by PFC Smithfield, are of substandard quality.
