NEW YORK -- August 23, 2004 - For the first time since the tragic on-stage accident that nearly took his life, Roy Horn of "Siegfried & Roy" will give an exclusive interview to Maria Shriver in a one-hour special titled "Siegfried & Roy: The Miracle" to air Wednesday, September 15 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on NBC.

Filmed over a period of several months, the televised event will trace Roy's journey, beginning with the accident that caused his injuries and subsequent stroke through his ongoing recuperation. The documentary will include never-before-seen footage and new details about his against-all-odds recovery and will provide viewers an intimate look into his harrowing experience through his own words.

In addition to exclusive interviews with both Siegfried and Roy, the program will include interviews with Roy's doctors, witnesses to the accident and others close to the entertainers many of whom are speaking publicly for the first time.

The legendary "Siegfried & Roy" spectacle ran for more than 13 1/2 years at The Mirage Resort in Las Vegas, redefining live entertainment forever.
