CONDITIONS ARE ABOUT TO GET NASTY - "The Mountain" chronicles the larger-than-life saga of the Carvers, whose colorful patriarch founded the town and its internationally famous ski resort, then shocked the family by leaving his empire in the hands of his free-spirited grandson David Carver, Jr., (Oliver Hudson, "Dawson's Creek"). Now, David finds himself saddled with a responsibility he never wanted and an older brother (Anson Mount, "Tully," "Crossroads") who rightly feels betrayed. Meanwhile, the Carvers must deal with the ambitious Colin Dowling (Mitch Pileggi, "The X-Files"), who will stop at nothing to gain control of Boundary Mountain, including using his own children. Tara Thompson, Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Bogush, Alana De La Garza, Tommy Dewey, Johann Urb and Barbara Hershey also star. David Barrett directed the episode. The story is by Gina Matthews & Grant Scharbo and David Barrett and the teleplay is by Stephanie Savage and Shaun Cassidy (#100).
