GIBBS AND HIS TEAM RACE AGAINST TIME TO SAVE A NAVY CAPTAIN'S KIDNAPPED WIFE AND HER BLIND DAUGHTER, ON THE SECOND-SEASON PREMIERE OF "NCIS," TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

"See No Evil" -- When the wife and 9-year-old blind daughter of a Navy captain are kidnapped, Gibbs and his team are faced with a unique challenge, on the second-season premiere of NCIS, Tuesday, Sept. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Tom Wright directed the episode from a script by Chris Crowe.

Gibbs and his team are called into an uneasy situation when a Navy captain's wife and 9-year-old blind daughter are kidnapped from their home. The kidnapper, who is demanding $2 million in government funds, is also holding the captain hostage in his own office via webcam. Gibbs devises a plan to plant listening devices in the office and then takes a huge risk by instructing the Captain to demand the kidnapper show a gesture of good faith by releasing his daughter before he completes the money transfer. Meanwhile, Abby and McGee use their computer skills to hack into the kidnapper's computer and trace his whereabouts.

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is an action drama about a team of special agents whose mission is to investigate any crime that has a shred of evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position. Leading this team that operates outside of the military chain of command is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Harmon), a highly skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done. Working under Gibbs is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Weatherly), a former homicide detective who has instincts that come only from working on the streets. Joining them are Agent Kate Todd (Alexander), a beautiful yet tough former Secret Service agent who's gone head to head with Gibbs in the past, and forensics specialist Abby Sciuto (Perrette), a gifted scientist whose dark wit matches her Goth-style hair and clothes. New to the team is Special Agent Timothy McGee (Murray), a graduate of MIT whose computer skills earned him a spot on Gibb's team as a probationary field agent. Assisting the team is medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (McCallum), who knows it all because he's seen it all. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.

NCIS is produced by Belisarius Productions, in association with Paramount Network Television. Donald P. Bellisario is the executive producer. Charles F. Johnson, Mark Horowitz and Gil Grant are co-executive producers.
