R&B star Faith Evans Guest Stars as Asia
"The Big Advice to Put it on Ice Episode" When desperation forces Mona to lie in order to sign a hot new recording artist Asia (guest star Faith Evans) to Delicious Records, Monas plan backfires, and she decides to announce a nationwide contest to search for new musical talent, on HALF & HALF, Monday, Oct. 4 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on UPN. Ellen Gittelsohn directed the episode from a script by Beth Seriff and Geoff Tarson.
Meanwhile, as sexual tension leads to conflict in the workplace between Spencer and Mona, Dee Dee and Adam encourage them to resolve their romantic feelings for each other.
In episodes to be broadcast in February, Mona, Spencer and a soon-to-be announced celebrity judge (or judges) will select five finalists from the entries. These five finalists will be flown to Hollywood and given national exposure by appearing in a special episode of HALF & HALF, where the ultimate winner will be determined. Interested contest participants must submit a video-taped performance of an original song composition or a "cover version" of a song. All tape submissions must arrive in Los Angeles no later than Nov. 1, 2004. Submission information as well as contest rules and regulations can be found exclusively at www.upn.com.
