STILLMAN ASKS RUSH AND VALENS TO RE-OPEN THE 1987 CASE OF A HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL STAR, ON A REBROADCAST OF "COLD CASE," ON A SPECIAL NIGHT AND TIME, SATURDAY, NOV. 27 AT 9:00 PM

"The Lost Soul of Herman Lester" -- Stillman asks Rush and Valens to re-open the 1987 case of Philadelphia high school basketball star Herman Lester, found stabbed to death hours after leading his team to the State Championship, on a rebroadcast of COLD CASE, on a special night and time, Saturday, Nov. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Tim Matheson directed the episode from a script by Sean Whitesell. (Originally broadcast 3/14/04)

Stillman's request is motivated by a death threat recently received by Herman's son, Earl, a current basketball phenom vying for the same school as his father. Among the suspects who soon re-emerge are a jealous teammate of Herman's who was kicked off the team (Ron Berkenpass), a local bookmaker and Herman and Earl's coach, who was hoping to ride both players coattails to a job in the collegiate ranks.
