MANDY MOORE AND SHANE WEST STAR - This 2002 Romance/Drama stars Mandy Moore ("How To Deal," "Chasing Liberty") as Jamie Sullivan, the shy, conservative preacher's daughter who endures the scorn of Landon Carter (Shane West, "ER") and his friends with a smile, always looking for the best in people. When a prank planned by Landon goes terribly wrong, the principal sentences him to tutoring on the weekends and working on the school play, activities in which Jamie is involved. Soon, Landon finds himself falling in love with this quiet girl who possesses a passion for life he never imagined possible. The film also stars Peter Coyote and Daryl Hannah. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks, with screenplay by Karen Janszen and directed by Adam Shankman.
