"Tortured Souls" - Denny Crane's son, Donny (Freddie Prinze, Jr.), is the opposing counsel in Denny's trial -- an obvious attempt to settle a score with Denny for letting him believe for 25 years that he was his father. Denny tries the case with Chelina Hall (Kerry Washington), an associate at the firm. Meanwhile, Shirley Schmidt recruits an extremely reluctant Alan Shore to defend a police officer accused of torture. And Shore's former client, Bernard Ferrion, is befriended by his secretary, Catherine Piper (Betty White), much to Shore's dismay, on "Boston Legal," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Boston Legal" stars James Spader as Alan Shore, Monica Potter as Lori Colson, Rhona Mitra as Tara Wilson, Mark Valley as Brad Chase, Rene Auberjonois as Paul Lewiston, with Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt and William Shatner as Denny Crane.

Guest-starring in "Tortured Souls" are Betty White as Catherine Piper, Leslie Jordan as Bernard Ferrion, Freddie Prinze, Jr. as Donny Crane, Kerry Washington as Chelina Hall, Leigh Allyn-Baker as Frannie Huber, Kevin Chapman as Officer Wayne Kirkland, David Barrera as Officer Joe Garrett, Richard V. Licata as Judge Dale Mellman, Robert Joy as A.D.A. Nicholas Preston, Bobbie Norman as Judge Sean Keneally, Michael Leydon Campbell as Michael Foster, Vyto Ruginis as Captain Larry McDonald, Lee Whittaker as Paul Harris, Joe Ochman as minister, Odetta Bassett as foreperson and Jeffrey Morrow as foreman.

"Tortured Souls" was written by David E. Kelley and directed by Jeff Bleckner.

"Boston Legal" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
