Dixie Carter ("Designing Women") and Her Husband of 20 Years, Three-time Emmy Winner Hal Holbrook, Guest Star

"A Room of One's Own"- Hope is discouraged when her overbearing mother-in-law, Joyce (Dixie Carter, "Designing Women"), takes over the house and bonds with Faith. The situation worsens when Joyce decides to leave her indifferent husband (Hal Holbrook) and move in permanently, displacing Faith in the process, on "Hope & Faith," FRIDAY, MARCH 25 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Hope & Faith" stars Faith Ford as Hope, Kelly Ripa as Faith, Ted McGinley as Charley, Megan Fox as Sydney, Macey Cruthird as Hayley and Paulie Litt as Justin.

Guest starring are Dixie Carter as Joyce Shanowski and Hal Holbrook as Edward Shanowski.

Carter co-starred in the hit television series "Designing Women" (1986-93), as well as the series "Family Law" and "Filthy Rich." Holbrook won Emmys for "Lincoln" (1976), "Pueblo" (1973) and "The Bold Ones: The Senator" (1971). He was also nominated for six additional Emmys for "Awakening Land" (1978), "That Certain Summer" (1972), "A Clear and Present Danger" (1971), "Mark Twain Tonight" (1967), "Our Town" (1967) and "The Whole World is Watching" (1969).

"A Room of One's Own" is written by Alex Carter, and directed by Gil Junger.

"Hope & Faith" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
