Leonard R. Garner, Jr. directed the episode from a script written by Beverly D. Hunter. Golden Brooks (UPN's GIRLFRIENDS) guest stars as Nurse LaDonna and Marteniz Brown, a HIV/AIDS educator from Detroit, guest stars as Roderick, a clinic counselor.

Meanwhile, after seeing how serious Shelly has gotten with this new guy, J.T. realizes he still loves her.
