MATT DISCOVERS MARY HAS DESERTED HER HUSBAND AND SON - After discovering that Mary (Jessica Biel, who does not appear in the episode) has filed for divorce and signed away custody of her son, Matt (Barry Watson) is at a loss for how he's going to break this awful news to Eric (Stephen Collins) and Annie (Catherine Hicks). Simon (David Gallagher) informs his new girlfriend, Rose (guest star Sarah Thompson), that he won't have sex with her, but avoids telling her the reason behind his decision. Meanwhile, Ruthie's boyfriend, Vincent (guest star Thomas Dekker), asks Martin (Tyler Hoechlin) to get Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) to break up with him, Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) finally decides she and Kevin (George Stults) may be ready to move out of her parents' house, and Eric introduces Cecilia's father (guest star Brad Maule) to a potential foster child, but forgets to mention that the kid is part of a package deal. Nikolas & Lorenzo Brino also star. Joel J. Feigenbaum directed the episode written by Sue Tenney (#198).
