"NOTTING HILL," THE ROMANTIC COMEDY STARRING JULIA ROBERTS AND HUGH GRANT, AIRS IN HDTV AS THE "ABC SATURDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK," JULY 23
"Notting Hill," the hit romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts ("Ocean's Twelve," "Mona Lisa Smile," "Erin Brockovich") and Hugh Grant ("Love Actually," "About a Boy"), will air in HDTV with 5.1-channel surround sound and video description as the "ABC Saturday Movie of the Week," JULY 23 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. "Notting Hill" tells the story of Anna Scott (Roberts), a Hollywood and international superstar who meets the owner of a book store (Grant) in the Notting Hill section of London. The pair are immediately attracted to each other, but her fame and fortune serve as a wedge. The relationship, which begins in fits and starts, is peopled with a colorful cast of friends and colleagues - especially Grant's mangy roommate (Rhys Ifans, "Vanity Fair," "The Shipping News").

The 1999 film was directed by Roger Michell ("Enduring Love," "Changing Lanes") and written by Richard Curtis ("Bridget Jones" movies, "Love Actually," "Four Weddings and a Funeral"). It was produced by Bookshop Productions, Notting Hill Pictures, PolyGram Filmed Entertainment and Working Title Films.
