"Episode 319" - Witness the emotional makeovers of Jeff, a 22-year-old aspiring rap singer and warehouse worker from Pembroke Pines, FL whose cleft palate affects his singing, speech, and appearance, and Angela, a 33-year-old housewife from Cincinnati, OH who is tired of being teased about her 'cartoon character' looks, on "Extreme Makeover," THURSDAY, JULY 21 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 4/7/05)

Jeff and Angela were given a life-changing experience, as they were able to change their looks in an effort to transform their lives and destinies and to make their dreams come true. This was all accomplished through the skills of an "Extreme Team," including plastic surgeons and cosmetic dentists, along with a talented team of hair and makeup artists, stylists and personal trainers. In addition, participants recuperate at the "Makeover Mansion," the new, luxurious mansion tucked away in the Hollywood Hills, CA, complete with stunning views, a swimming pool, fully equipped home gym and big screen televisions.

The cleft palate that Jeff was born with was just one of his early hardships; his mother and her eight children had been left homeless, often sleeping under bridges in Miami. Despite this adversity, his mother got a job nursing and taught all the kids self-sufficiency, not self-pity, while saving money for Jeff's surgeries. Everyone in the family supported Jeff, as his cleft was their shared cleft. Jeff is reunited in Hollywood with his brother, Eddie, who acted as Jeff's surrogate father while growing up. Jeff's surgery was deemed by Dr. Griffin and Dr. Dorfman as one of the most challenging cases of their professional careers and, in the most amazing and emotional reveal of the season, an entire family's burden is lifted and their pain healed.

Jeff's procedures included a nose job, upper lip reconstruction and lengthening, scar revision to upper lip, hair transplant to upper lip scar, braces removed, two extractions, lip repositioning, 11 da Vinci porcelain crowns & veneers, two Galaxy bridges, Zoom whitening, and speech therapy.

A reclusive homemaker and wife/mother of three kids, Angela has preferred to stay at home rather than socialize because of her looks. All her life she endured constant torment due to her 'cartoon character' appearance. She would like to stop hiding from the world and fulfill her wish of resembling her beautiful mother. In addition, Angela is a huge fan of the soap opera "General Hospital" and is surprised with a private behind-the-scenes tour with actress Natalia Livingston. Angela's procedures included a nose job, chin implant, brow lift, upper eyelid lift, lower eyelid tightening, buccal fat reoval, liposuction under chin, facial fat injections, breast augmentation and lift, LASIK eye surgery, topical acne treatments, two extractions, gum repositioning, 12 da Vinci porcelain veneers, and Zoom whitening.
