DON USES CHARLIE AND MEGAN'S EXPERTISE TO HELP SOLVE THE MURDER OF A FEDERAL JUDGE'S WIFE, ON THE SECOND SEASON PREMIERE OF "NUMB3RS," FRIDAY, SEPT. 23 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Diane Farr ("Rescue Me") and Dylan Bruno ("Saving Private Ryan") Join the Cast

"Judgment Call" -- Don uses Charlie and Megan's expertise when the FBI is called to the scene of a federal judge's wife's murder, on the second season premiere on NUMB3RS, Friday, Sept. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Alex Zakrzewski directed the episode from a script by Ken Sanzel.

Diane Farr stars as Special Agent Megan Reeves, who studied at the FBI Behavioral Science Unit at Quantico, and who has recently been assigned to the Los Angeles bureau to work alongside Don Eppes.

Dylan Bruno stars as Colby Granger, a new Los Angeles FBI agent whose tour of duty with the Army's Criminal Investigation division allowed him the chance to see the world beyond Boise, Idaho where he grew up.

When a judge's wife is shot and killed, Don and his team look into the judge's cases to determine if one of his verdicts led to the murder. Using the judge's past rulings and Megan's expertise in profiling, Charlie creates a mathematical theory to identify the two most probable suspects from the case files. However, when the team discovers a link between the 2 suspects, the investigation goes in an unexpected direction.

NUMB3RS is a drama about Don Eppes, an FBI agent who recruits his mathematical-genius brother, Charlie, to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective. As a seasoned investigator, Don deals in hard facts and evidence whereas Charlie, a math professor at a California university, functions in a world of mathematical probability and equations. Their father, Alan, is happy to see his sons working together even though he doesn't understand what Charlie does for a living. When Charlie has doubts about the collaboration, he turns to his physicist friend, Dr. Larry Fleinhardt, as he understands that math is the language of human nature and can be used to solve some of life's biggest mysteries. Inspired by actual cases, the series depicts how the confluence of police work and mathematics provides unexpected revelations and answers to the most perplexing criminal questions.

NUMB3RS is produced by Scott Free Productions, in association with Paramount Network Television. Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Barry Schindel, Nick Falacci, Cheryl Heuton and David W. Zucker serve as executive producers.
