AIDAN QUINN, DEAN CAIN, CHARLES S. DUTTON, KELLY HU AND GAIL O'GRADY STAR IN "MAYDAY," A NEW TELEVISION MOVIE THAT HAS COMPLETED PRODUCTION IN TORONTO, TO BE BROADCAST OCT. 2 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Aidan Quinn ("Legends of The Fall"), Charles S. Dutton ("Threshold"), Dean Cain ("Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman"), Kelly Hu ("X2: X Men United") and Gail O'Grady ("American Dreams") star in MAYDAY, a new television movie, based on The New York Times bestseller by Nelson DeMille and Thomas Block, to be broadcast as the "CBS Sunday Movie" on Sunday, Oct. 2 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. In the new thriller, which has completed production in Toronto, chaos and death engulf an airliner traveling from the United States to Tokyo when it is accidentally hit by a U.S. Navy test missile.

Weekend pilot John Berry (Quinn) is on board Pacific Global Flight #52 when it is accidentally struck by a stray military missile, ripping two huge holes in the side of the airplane. Moments after the violent collision, Berry realizes that the plane is still airborne, but most of its passengers are dead. As he and the senior flight attendant, Sharon Crandall (Hu), survey the wreckage on board, they realize that, though he has limited flying experience, Berry will have to pilot the jumbo airliner to a safe landing

Commander James Slan (Cain) and Admiral Randolph Hennings (Dutton) are in charge of the covert military missile testing exercise and are responsible for the stray missile that hit the airliner. With the threat of their covert mission being exposed, the two men must figure out how to keep this incident concealed from the public. With hundreds of lives at stake, Anne Metz (O'Grady) is responsible for assessing the enormous insurance claims that Pacific Global faces, which in all likelihood will cause the company to shut down.

Aidan Quinn was nominated for an Emmy Award for "An Early Frost." He also starred in the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation "Plainsong" and the movie "See You in My Dreams," both on the Network. His other television credits include the movies "Benedict Arnold: A Question of Honor," "The Prince and the Pauper," "Two of Us," "Forbidden Territory: Stanley's Search for Livingston," "A Private Matter," "Lies of the Twins" and "Empire Falls." His extensive feature film credits include "Evelyn," "Music of the Heart," "Practical Magic," "Michael Collins," "Benny & Joon" and "Avalon."

Charles S. Dutton is a two-time Emmy Award winner for guest-starring roles in "Without a Trace," on the Network, and "The Practice." Dutton can be seen this fall in the CBS drama "Threshold." He is a two-time NAACP Image Award winner and multiple nominee. On television, Dutton starred in the Emmy Award-winning "Something the Lord Made," and starred

with Jack Lemmon in the Emmy Award-winning mini-series "The Murder of Mary Phagan." He appeared in the mini-series "The '60s," "For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story," "Deadlocked" and the television movies "Zooman," "10,000 Black Men Named George" and "DC Sniper: 23 Days of Fear." Dutton has also made guest appearances in the series "The L Word," "Ed," "The Sopranos" and "Homicide: Life on the Street." His feature film credits include "Against the Ropes," "Get on the Bus," "A Time to Kill," "Alien 3," "Menace II Society," "Rudy," "Cookie's Fortune" and "Secret Window." He directed the feature film "Against The Ropes," starring Meg Ryan, Omar Epps and Tim Daly, the mini-series "The Corner" and the television movie "First Time Felon."

Dean Cain is best known to television audiences for his starring role as Clark Kent/Superman in "Lois & Clark: The Adventures of Superman." His other television credits include the series "Clubhouse," on the Network, "Beverly Hills 90210" and the movies "I Do (But I Don't)," "The Perfect Husband" and "The Runaway." His feature film credits include "Out of Time," "Rat Race," "Broken Hearts Club," "Futuresport," "Best Men," "Flight of Fancy," "Dog Boys," "Rag and Bone," "Bailey's Millions," "Lost," "Christmas Rush" and "The Stone Boy." He hosted the syndicated series "Ripley's Believe It or Not."

Kelly Hu is best known to audiences for her roles in the feature films "X2: X-Men United" and "The Scorpion King." Her other feature film credits include "Cradle to the Grave," "The Doors," "Strange Days" and "Fakin' Da Funk." On television she has guest starred on "CSI: NY" and was a series regular on the dramas "Martial Law" and "Nash Bridges," all on the Network.

Gail O'Grady most recently starred in the drama "American Dreams." She has appeared in numerous television series including "Hot Properties," and "NYPD Blue," as well as guest starring roles on "Monk," "Ally McBeal," "Designing Women," "Cheers," and "China Beach" among others. Her television movies include "Out of Sync" and "Two of Hearts." Her feature film credits include "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo," "That Old Feeling," "Celtic Pride" and "She's Having a Baby."

MAYDAY is being produced by Chautauqua Entertainment and The Jerry Leider Company, in association with Paramount Network Television. Richard Waltzer ("Perfect Murder, Perfect Town") and Jerry Leider ("Coast to Coast") are the executive producers. Judy Cairo ("Elvis") is the producer. TJ Scott ("Tilt")and Kevin Lund ("Black Hole High") wrote the script and Scott directed the film.
