MOLLY AND HER TEAM SEARCH FOR AN ESCAPED PSYCHIATRIC PATIENT WHO MIGHT BE LINKED TO A MISSING BIG HORN CREWMEMBER, ON "THRESHOLD," FRIDAY, SEPT. 30

"The Burning" -- What seems to Molly and the Red Team like a routine search for an escaped psychiatric patient turns into anything but when they uncover a deeper mystery, on THRESHOLD, Friday, Sept. 30 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS. John Showalter directed the episode written by Brannon Braga and Dan O'Shannon.

Richard Tate (Raphael Sbarge), a psychiatric patient who has been committed since the age of 13 for burning his family alive, has escaped from a hospital in Ohio, and is now suspected of killing one of the guards there and taking a female hostage at a condo complex. For Dr. Caffrey and the Red Team, this seems like a case they could ignore; however, when they discover that Tate has had strange dreams that drove him to his escape -- the same dreams Caffrey, Cavennaugh and Pegg had after their encounter with the signal on the Big Horn ship -- they realize this is not an ordinary missing persons case. When it's suspected that one of the missing Big Horn crewmembers might be involved, Caffrey and the Red Team must find Tate to study him -- and what they might find may be a mystery that has been years in the making.
