CBS FEATURES MEN AGAINST WOMEN AS OLAY PRESENTS ICE WARS 2005: BATTLE OF THE SEXES IN PRIME TIME ON SATURDAY, DEC. 10

OLAY PRESENTS ICE WARS 2005: BATTLE OF THE SEXES on Saturday, Dec. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). The 12th edition of ICE WARS on the CBS Television Network pits the men against the women in a prime time battle. Some of the top U.S. and international professional figure skaters are featured in the event headlined by Brian Boitano, Kurt Browning, Nancy Kerrigan and Oksana Baiul.

Each team features four skaters. The Men's team is led by 12-year "Ice Wars" veteran and 1988 Olympic gold medalist Boitano, four-time world champion Browning, Olympic gold medalist Alexei Yagudin and three-time world champion Elvis Stojko.

The Women's team features 1994 Olympic gold medalist Baiul, 1994 Olympic silver medalist Kerrigan, 1994 world champion Yuka Sato and 1999 world champion Maria Butyrskaya.

Each team member skates two artistic programs. A panel of professional judges awards the marks with the individual scores being added together for a team total. Each skater's first program is marked as an individual event and their second program is marked as head-to-head competition within the pairings. Each score from Program Two is doubled and added to the score from Program One. The team with the highest score is the winner.

Verne Lundquist and Tracy Wilson provide commentary with Tracy Wolfson reporting. Ken Mack serves as producer, Bob Fishman directs. The event was taped on Nov. 17 at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Ill.
