TNT launches another dramatic summer Monday, June 12, with the premiere of the eagerly anticipated second season of THE CLOSER, starring Golden Globe� and Screen Actors Guild Award� nominee Kyra Sedgwick (Something to Talk About, Loverboy, TNT�s Door to Door), and the debut of TNT�s new drama series SAVED, starring Tom Everett Scott (That Thing You Do, Boiler Room). The premieres of both series will be presented uninterrupted and commercial-free, with Audi sponsoring THE CLOSER�s second season launch at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) and Dodge and Quiznos sponsoring the series premiere of SAVED at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

The premiere episode of THE CLOSER�s second season sends Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson (Sedgwick) on an internal investigation after the murder of an LAPD officer and the drug dealer he was investigating. But things are not always as they seem as Brenda discovers more and more about the dead officer�s past. Meanwhile, on the personal front, Brenda and her boyfriend, FBI Agent Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney) discuss the possibility of taking their relationship to a new level, just as Brenda�s boss and former paramour, Assistant Police Chief Will Pope (J.K. Simmons), finds his own personal life in upheaval.

THE CLOSER�s Screen Actors Guild Award�-nominated ensemble cast also features Corey Reynolds (The Terminal, Tony nominee for Hairspray) as Sgt. David Gabriel, Brenda�s right-hand man; Robert Gossett (Arlington Road, The Net) as Commander Taylor, head of the robbery homicide division and a frequent thorn in Brenda�s side; G.W.
