Colin Farrell (�Miami Vice�) and Al Pacino (�Two for the Money�) will keep you on the edge of your seat in the cat-and-mouse spy thriller, �The Recruit,� airing in HDTV with 5.1 channel surround sound and Spanish audio as the �ABC Saturday Movie of the Week,� AUGUST 5 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

James Clayton (Colin Farrell) has just graduated as one of the smartest and top in his class of new CIA recruits. His intelligence and unconventional methods soon attract the attention of seasoned veteran Walter Burke (Al Pacino), who thinks Clayton is just the kind of recruit he�s looking for.

As Burke puts Clayton through his paces and teaches him the ropes in this highly secretive training ground, the young recruit quickly adapts and rises through the ranks, along the way falling for one of his colleagues, Layla (Bridget Moynahan). Then Burke taps Clayton for a special and highly secretive mission, to root out a suspected mole in the agency. As Clayton draws closer to his prey and towards the gripping climax, it becomes evident that things are not as they appear and no one can be trusted.

�The Recruit� stars Colin Farrell as James Clayton, Al Pacino as Walter Burke, Bridget Moynahan (�The Sum of All Fears�) as Layla Moore and Gabrial Macht (�Behind Enemy Lines�) as Zack.

The film, released in 2003, was directed by Roger Donaldson. The Screenplay was written by Roger Towne, Kurt Wimmer and Mitch Glazer.

�THE RECRUIT� IN HDTV:
The ABC Television Network�s HDTV broadcast of �The Recruit� will air in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC�s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP.
