The drama heats up on TNT with two exciting new episodes of the hit series THE CLOSER and SAVED Monday, August 14. On THE CLOSER, Brenda Leigh Johnson, played by 2006 Emmy� nominee Kyra Sedgwick, worries her past may come to light and threaten the squad�s confidence in her at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). And on SAVED at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), Wyatt Cole (Tom Everett Scott) and his fellow first-responders continue to reel from the effects of a bomb blast at a medical clinic.

THE CLOSER�s premiere episode on Monday, June 12, scored ad-supported cable�s largest audience delivery ever for an original scripted series telecast, beating its own record set with the premiere episode of season one. Meanwhile, SAVED scored big in its premiere, delivering more than 5.1 million viewers.

Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) is called to testify in the case of Pope vs. Pope, a custody hearing between her boss, Assistant Police Chief Will Pope (J.K. Simmons � Law & Order, Spider-Man), and his estranged wife. But the proceedings may make Brenda�s past relationship with Pope public, causing Brenda concern that such a revelation may threaten the squad�s trust in her.

Meanwhile, Brenda�s team investigates the death of a woman whose identity may have been stolen by a drug addict
