David James Elliott ("JAG") joins the cast as ADA James Conlon. Cress Williams ("Grey's Anatomy") and Jon Seda ("Ghost Whisperer") join the cast as new detectives assigned to work in the D.A.'s office.

Annabeth and the new team in the D.A.'s office investigate the multiple homicide of a family. Under pressure from her new boss, James Conlon (Elliott), to swiftly bring the killers to justice, Annabeth must employ new tactics to draw out a confession. Meanwhile, Annabeth tries to smooth over the animosities between Ed Williams (Williams), a tough no-nonsense cop, and Ray Blackwell (Seda), Conlon's right hand man from New York, two new detectives assigned to work in the D.A.'s office.

CLOSE TO HOME is a legal drama that tears away the facade of suburbia to reveal that sometimes quiet and tranquil streets can hide the darkest of crimes. Annabeth Chase is a young, aggressive prosecutor with a near perfect conviction record who tries the cases that take place in her own backyard. Returning to work four months after her husband was killed by a drunk driver, Annabeth is ready to take on the most difficult cases, fueled by her passion to protect her community and infant daughter. Working with Annabeth is her boss, Maureen Scofield, a no-nonsense lawyer who's not afraid to push her hard. Their new boss, ADA James Conlon, handsome, self-assured, and ambitious is just in from New York City and ready to make his mark. Tough, straight-forward investigator Ed Williams and Ray Blackwell, Conlon's edgy, smart guy from New York, round out the team. Newly widowed, Annabeth now faces the new challenges of being a working single mother while fighting crime.
