Season Finale Features Cameos By "Heroes" Star Masi Oka And Larry Hankin

NEW YORK, February 27, 2007 -- Sarah Silverman has taken viewers on several memorable journeys throughout her inaugural season of "The Sarah Silverman Program," providing her unique point-of-view on substance abuse, AIDS and abortion, among other subjects. For the first season finale, airing on Wednesday, March 7 at 10:30 p.m., Silverman is set to take on telethons, marathons and God.

In the season finale, featuring cameos by "Heroes" star Masi Oka and Larry Hankin, Silverman sets off to buy replacement batteries for her television's remote control in order to change the channel from a 36-hour telethon to help sick and dying children. During the course of her day, she manages to wreak havoc upon a wheelchair marathon, set off a flashback in the mind of a homeless Vietnam Vet, hold a personal audience with God and break into a musical number detailing her wishes to make the world a better place.

"The Sarah Silverman Program" stars Silverman who plays a character (aptly named Sarah Silverman) whose absurd daily life is told through an array of scripted scenes and song. In each episode, Sarah manages to fall into unique, sometimes unsettling and always hilarious predicaments, with her sister (played by real-life sister Laura Silverman), her geeky gay neighbors, Brian and Steve (Brian Posehn and Steve Agee) and Officer Jay (Jay Johnston) never far from her side. New episodes return in the fall.

The series is based on an idea by Silverman, Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab ("Monster House," "Heat, Vision and Jack"). Silverman, Schrab, Heidi Herzon ("Jesus is Magic") and Dan Sterling ("The Daily Show") are the executive producers. Schrab also served as director of the pilot and for several of the episodes. Gary Mann is the executive in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
