DOES JESUS EXIST IN HOUSTON? PRIMETIME: THE OUTSIDERS INVESTIGATES, TUESDAY, MARCH 6 ON ABC

And: Mary Fulginiti Examines the Mystery of Girl Kept in Her House for Nine Years

Is the second coming of Jesus alive and well in Houston, TX? Primetime: The Outsiders investigates, taking viewers into the unimaginable world of the controversial man who claims to be Jesus, TUESDAY, MARCH 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Jos De Jesus says he had a vision that turned him from the man of God to just God. The whisky-drinking father of five claims he was born again in prison while serving time for theft. Who believes him? Thousands of followers do. They listen each week by internet, satellite TV, to the man they believe is Jesus. The one-time heroin addict, 62-year-old from Puerto Rico preaches a particular gospel --- his interpretation of the Bible according to the apostle Paul. The self-proclaimed Jesus does not believe in sin, hell, the devil or damnation of any kind. He says there is no need for prayer. In fact, many of his believers tattoo themselves with 666. His believers reject organized religion and demonstrate in front of churches and burning pictures of the Pope and other religious leaders.

Jim Avila takes a closer look at this self-declared Jesus Cristo Hombre -- the Man Christ Jesus. DeJesus takes Primetime on tour of his poor neighborhood where he grew up in Puerto Rico and where many detest him and dont want him there. The program examines questions about his money and what he teaches children, and speaks to his followers about their faith in him. There is no doubt that DeJesus practices an unconventional faith, but is he dangerous?

And: Imagine a child kept in a house, isolated from the world for nine years. Primetime reports on a mysterious story that outraged the city of Austin. Occasionally, neighbors thought they saw a little girl pass by the window. They would later learn that a little girl did live there without any plumbing, food or heat. Rats had taken over the home. Nine-year-old Victoria Barr had never been out of the house in her life. How did Victoria exist? Mary Fulginiti reports on Victorias survival and re-birth through a family that took her into their hearts and helped her reclaim her life.

David Sloan is the executive producer of Primetime: The Outsiders.
