"Sweet 16" -- While filming a promotional spot, a base jumper plummets to his death after his parachute is punctured by pigeons, leading the CSIs to the competitive world of pigeon racing and to a second victim, a prominent trainer who was also murdered, on a rebroadcast of CSI: NY, at a special time, Wednesday, July 4 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. David Jackson directed the episode written by the series' consulting producer Ken Solarz. (Originally broadcast 11/22/06; previously scheduled for a later time period on this date)

Kyle Gallner ("Veronica Mars") guest stars in a recurring role as Reed Garrett, a young man who discovers that Mac is his step dad. John Wesley Shipp, who is best known to television audiences for his parental role as Mitch Leery on "Dawson's Creek," guest stars as Patrick Quinn, the step father of a pigeon trainer.

While investigating the death of a base jumper, Mac, Danny and Det. Flack discover the body of a trainer found brutally murdered on his roof and whose pigeons where poisoned. Meanwhile, Stella, Lindsay and Dr. Hawkes arrive at an elaborate Sweet 16 party that turned deadly when the birthday girl's father is found dead behind the wheel of her new $60,000 dollar car.
