"In Which We Meet Addison, A Nice Girl From Somewhere Else" � At the invitation of her friend, fertility specialist Naomi Bennett, Addison leaves her job in Seattle and heads to Los Angeles to start a new job at Oceanside Wellness Group and to begin a new life. Not expecting Addison's arrival are Naomi's business partners at the co-op wellness center, her ex-husband, internist Sam Bennett, psychiatrist Violet Turner, pediatrician Cooper Freedman and alternative medicine guru Pete Wilder (who is convinced Addison is there because of their recent kiss). On her first day, Addison is presented a case that could make or break her acceptance among the Oceanside staff, on the premiere of "Private Practice," WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Private Practice" stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Tim Daly as Dr. Pete Wilder, Audra McDonald as Dr. Naomi Bennett, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Chris Lowell as William Dell Parker, with Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett and Amy Brenneman as Dr. Violet Turner.

Guest Cast: James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Bruce Nozick as Bill, Stacy Edwards as Maria, Rebecca Mader as Leslie, Moon Zappa as Jenny, Max Arciniega, Jr. as Paul and Marcella Lentz-Pope as Lucy.

"In Which We Meet Addison, A Nice Girl From Somewhere Else" was written by Shonda Rhimes and directed by Mark Tinker.

"Private Practice" was created and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge"). Betsy Beers ("Grey's Anatomy," "Casanova"), Marti Noxon ("Grey's Anatomy," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), Mark Gordon ("The Hoax," "Saving Private Ryan") and Mark Tinker ("St. Elsewhere," "NYPD Blue") are executive producers. The series is an ABC Studios Production.

"Private Practice" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.
