Bravo "Goes Green" During A-List Awards And Names Unicef Beneficiary Of Charity Fashion Auction Featuring Clothing By "Project Runway" Designers

NEW YORK June 10, 2008 Bravo brings viewers an iconic night celebrating the best in food, fashion, design, beauty and pop culture with its first ever "The A-List Awards," honoring those who have made an indelible mark in the arts, and showcasing some of the leading creative minds working today. Hosted by "My Life on the D-List" star Kathy Griffin, "The A-List Awards," from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, premieres on Bravo on Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and a special red carpet pre-show hosted by Tim Gunn airs at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Bravo is greening the awards with the purchase of renewable energy certificates, known as Green Tags, from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) www.b-e-f.org. This offsets 286.6 tons of C02 produced from the 382,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity used for the event. Each Green Tag replaces traditional, polluting sources of energy with clean, renewable wind power.

Bravo has selected the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to be the beneficiary of proceeds from a charity fashion show to be held during "The A-List Awards." Designers from Bravo's Peabody-award winning, Emmy-nominated series "Project Runway" will be paired with celebrities to design dresses. Pairings are as follows:

- Candace Bushnell and season 2 designer Daniel Franco

- Holly Kiser and season 4 finalist Chris March

- Kathy Griffin and season 2 designer Nick Verreos

- Katrina Smirnoff and season 3 finalist and "Fan Favorite" Michael Knight

- Kat Von D and season 4 finalist Sweet P

- Niki Taylor and season 3 finalist Laura Bennett

- Nikki Blonsky and season 3 designer Malan Breton

- Rebecca Budig and season 3 designer Alison Kelly

Each designer will create a look for the celebrity fashion show and the designs will be available online during the special on June 12 until June 19. Interested parties can bid on BravoTV.com with all proceeds from the auction going to support UNICEF's relief efforts in Myanmar.
