ESTRANGED HUSBAND LEADS POLICE TO HIS WIFE'S BODY TO REDUCE HIS SENTENCE, ON "PRIMETIME: CRIME," WEDNESDAY, JULY 9 ON ABC

Nina Reiser, a 31-year-old mother of two who was a doctor with movie star looks, simply vanished nearly two years ago on Labor Day in Oakland, California. She had been in the midst of an acrimonious divorce from her husband, a well-known computer programmer. But on Monday this week her estranged husband, Hans Reiser, who was convicted for her murderer in April this year, led police to a body he says is that of Nina. In exchange for revealing the location of the body, Reiser is expected to get his conviction reduced from first to second degree murder, and will likely serve less jailtime. Jim Avila reports on the latest in the case, including revealing details of how Hans killed his wife and a post-conviction interview with him. "Primetime: Crime," which investigates crime by going deep inside real cases, uncovering new evidence and getting exclusive witnesses interviews, airs WEDNESDAY, JULY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

On April 28 of this year, a California jury convicted Reiser, 44, of first degree murder in the disappearance of his wife, even though her body had not been found. "Primetime" provides the latest updates of Hans' sentencing, which is now postponed until forensics on the body are complete. ABC News previously reported on the case of Nina in November 2007, when her estranged husband spoke out for the first time to Avila in an exclusive jailhouse interview about being charged with her murder.

David Sloan is the executive producer of "Primetime: Crime."
