"LEGALLY BLONDE" AIRS AS THE "ABC FRIDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK," AUGUST 15

"Legally Blonde," the light-hearted comedy starring Reese Witherspoon, airs as the "ABC Friday Movie of the Week," AUGUST 15 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The film, nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, will be broadcast in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio.

Based on the novel of the same title, "Legally Blonde" tells the story of Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon), a vibrant blonde with a flair for pink and a passion for success. When her perfect boyfriend dumps her instead of proposing and leaves to attend Harvard Law School, Elle, determined to win him back, gets into Harvard Law School and finds herself fighting for her former boyfriend and her own reputation. With willpower and a little help from some friends along, she uses her own blonde ways to fight to the top of her class and become a star in the courtroom.

"Legally Blonde" stars Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, Luke Wilson as Emmett Richmond, Victor Garber as Professor Callahan, Jennifer Coolidge as Paulette Bonafont�, Holland Taylor as Professor Stromwell, Matthew Davis as Warner Huntington III, Selma Blair as Vivian Kensington, Ali Larter as Brooke Taylor Windham and Linda Cardellini as Chutney Windham.
