A COURAGEOUS YOUNG GIRL CAUGHT IN A DANGEROUS WORLD CREATED BY HER OWN MOTHER, ON ABC NEWS' "20/20," FRIDAY, JANUARY 9

Plus: ABC News Anchor John Quiones' Personal Story of Achieving the American Dream

It's known as Sin City, but even the town that glorifies debauchery was shocked when two teenage siblings stabbed and left for dead two young innocent sisters, Brittney, aged 10, and Kristyanna, aged 3, who were left alone while their mother played the slot machines. JuJu Chang reports on an unthinkable crime, parental neglect and the struggle to not only regain but take charge of a young life. As Chang reports, not only did Brittney survive the horrific ordeal, she has thrived in school and competitive sports. The report airs on "20/20," FRIDAY, JANUARY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Plus: From a shoe shine boy and migrant worker to an award-winning ABC News anchor, how did John Quiones' dreams come true? Bob Brown reports on his colleague's incredible journey to success, his role in the Hispanic community and on his new book, Heroes Among Us.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel. David Sloan is executive producer.
