"Out of Africa" -- In an attempt to find new direction in her life, Samantha suddenly decides to go to Africa and volunteer to help those in need. Her friends and family are convinced that she'll chicken out � which she does after discovering the countless vaccinations and obstacles that she would face to make the journey. So to keep up the fa�ade of being out of the country, Sam ends up hiding out with Andrea and Dena, on "Samantha Who?," FRIDAY, JUNE 12 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. "Samantha Who?" stars Christina Applegate as Samantha, Jennifer Esposito as Andrea, Kevin Dunn as Howard, Melissa McCarthy as Dena, Tim Russ as Frank, with Barry Watson as Todd and Jean Smart as Regina.

Guest starring are Tony Hale ("Arrested Development") as Dr. Andy Adams, Ryan Carnes as Brent, Wendy Allyn as female aid worker and Anthony Anderson as Rafael Grace.

"Out of Africa" was written by Donald Todd and directed by Lee Shallat Chemel.

"Samantha Who?" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. This program carries a TV-PG,D,L,S parental guideline.
