SUNDAY, JUNE 21

"THE DREW CAREY SHOW" (6:30-7:00 p.m. ET)

"In Ramada Da Vida" (CONTENT RATING TBD)

JOE WALSH GUEST STARS In the lounge of a local hotel, Drew (Drew Carey) impulsively gets onstage with Lewis (Ryan Stiles) and Oswald (Diedrich Bader) and plays music. To Drew's surprise, everyone loves it. Drew is the only one in the band who doesn't want to perform regularly because his responsibility is to the store. But when a cute rock fan, Darcy (recurring guest star Pauley Perrette), flirts with Drew, he decides to resurrect his old band. With Drew playing accordion and singing, Oswald playing bass guitar and Lewis playing drums, the band needs a guitarist. Several hopefuls audition, including Dusty Hill (of the band ZZ Top), Jonny Lang, Lisa Loeb, Dave Mustaine, Rick Nielson (of Cheap Trick), Joey Ramone, Slash (of Guns N' Roses), Michael Stanley, Matthew Sweet and even fiddler ROY CLARK (themselves). Finally, Drew and the guys agree on Ed (Joe Walsh of The Eagles and The James Gang in a recurring role), a lackadaisical guitarist. Unfortunately, Lewis and Oswald soon quit the band because it interferes with their day jobs. Drew and Ed continue with two new bandmates (Jimmy Fox and Dale Peters of The James Gang in recurring roles). Meanwhile, Kate (Christa Miller) quits her job at the store to search for something more fulfilling. Also, Mimi wonders how to deal with her new boyfriend's being married. Written by Clay Graham and directed by Gerry Cohen (#466252).
