"THE DREW CAREY SHOW" (6:30-7:00 p.m. ET)

"What's Wrong with this Episode II" (CONTENT RATING TBD)

Drew learns a secret about his mother and his barber Drew's (Drew Carey) parents, Beulah (Marion Ross) and George (Stanley Anderson), visit to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary. When Drew's lifelong barber, Phil (Fred Applegate), dies, Beulah seems overly upset. At the funeral, Drew's friends witness Beulah kissing her fingertips and tenderly touching Phil's corpse. Beulah also receives a hostile reaction from Phil's widow, Alice (Pat Lach). After probing his childhood memories, Drew accuses his mother of having a longtime affair with Phil. Beulah refuses to discuss it. Later, at the anniversary party, Steve (John Caroll Lynch) tells Drew the truth: Beulah and Phil were simply good friends who helped each other through their grief over George and Alice's affair long ago. Drew apologizes to his mother. Meanwhile, Mr. Wick (Craig Ferfuson) puts Mimi (Kathey Kinney) in charge of a competition in which Winfred-Louder employees must donate more blood that those of rival stores. Mimi uses some gruesome tactics to win. Written by Clay Graham and directed by Gerry Cohen (#467521).
