THE SUTTONS STRUGGLE WITH THEIR NEW ROLE AS A MILITARY FAMILY WHILE THEIR OLDEST SON SERVES HIS COUNTRY IN AFGHANISTAN

Burbank, CA (October 5, 2009) In an emotional new episode, "Lincoln Heights" continues to explore today's most relevant family topics when a letter arrives from the oldest son of the Suttons, Nate Ray, who is deployed on active duty in Afghanistan. Eddie, Jen and the kids struggle with the fears and pressures that come with having a loved one at war, mirroring the real-life military families who serve our nation each day. This special episode of "Lincoln Heights," entitled "With You I Will Leave," airs Monday, October 19, 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET on ABC Family.

As First Lady Michelle Obama raises awareness for the sacrifice of military families with her vocal support and attention, "Lincoln Heights" illustrates both the pride and the difficulties faced by parents, spouses and siblings of members of our armed forces. "Our soldiers and their families have done their duty. They do so without complaint," Mrs. Obama has said. "And we as a grateful nation must do ours, and do everything in our power to honor them by supporting them." The series chronicles the challenges and victories of enlisted character Nate Ray through a multi-episode story arc this season.

In addition, Cassie goes out to a club to take her mind off of her troubles with Charles, and Jenn discourages Tay from developing a friendship with Jarone, much to Eddie's dismay. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Andrew begin to take their friendship to a new level. Will Lizzie be able to put her former boyfriend's death behind her and welcome someone new into her life?

"Lincoln Heights" stars Russell Hornsby as Eddie Sutton, Nicki Micheaux as Jenn Sutton, Erica Hubbard as Cassie Sutton, Mishon Ratliff as Tay Sutton, Rhyon Brown as Lizzie Sutton, Robert Adamson as Charles.

Kathleen McGhee-Anderson is Executive Producer. David Erhman, Dawn Urbont and Dayna Lynne North serve as Co-Executive Producers and Kevin Inch and Anthony Spark as Producers. "Lincoln Heights" is produced by ABC Family/Disney.
