"SHREK THE THIRD" WILL HAVE ITS NETWORK TELEVISION PREMIERE
AS THE "ABC FRIDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK," NOVEMBER 20
"Shrek The Third," featuring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Julie Andrews, Antonio Banderas and Justin Timberlake, will have its network television premiere as the "ABC Friday Movie of the Week," NOVEMBER 20 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Winner of a People's Choice Award and a Kid's Choice Award in 2008, the film will be broadcast in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio.
After the King (John Cleese) of Far, Far Away falls ill and passes away, Shrek (Myers) and his pregnant wife, Fiona (Diaz), find themselves as the immediate successors to the throne. Being the thoughtful big green ogre that he is, Shrek is determined to find the real heir to the throne, Fiona's cousin, Artie (Timberlake). Shrek is joined by his faithful companions, Donkey (Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Banderas), as they set sail in a search Artie. Meanwhile, a vengeful Prince Charming (Evrett) gathers a slew of fairy tale villains to overthrow the new king and, upon their return, Shrek and the young Artie must defend the throne and their kingdom.

"Shrek the Third" was produced by Jeffrey Katzenberg for DreamWorks and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It was directed by Chris Miller & Raman Hui and written by William Steig & Andrew Adamson.
