VERONICA TRIES TO USE LITTLE ROSE TO FIND OUT WHO'S GETTING FIRED NEXT AT VERIDIAN, ON ABC'S "BETTER OFF TED"

"The Lawyer, the Lemur and the Little Listener" � When a wave of layoff hits Veridian and little Rose seems to have inside info because of a friend in her Hive playgroup, Veronica tries to pump her for information, much to Ted's disapproval. Meanwhile, Linda is elated to sell her first children's book -- until someone points out that her lead character, a lemur, is the spitting image of Phil -- and Lem starts a passionate affair with one of the company lawyers (guest star Chelsey Crisp), only to find out that his paycheck is being docked for the "billable hours" he's spending with his new girlfriend, on "Better Off Ted," TUESDAY, JANUARY 19 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. "Better Off Ted" stars Jay Harrington as Ted, Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Andrea Anders as Linda, Jonathan Slavin as Phil, Malcolm Barrett as Lem and Isabella Acres as Rose.

Guest starring are Chelsey Crisp as Nadine, Brandon Molale as the extraction guy, Christopher Hoffman as Jeffrey, Matt Miller as Burt and Terry Rhoads as Chet.

"The Lawyer, the Lemur and the Little Listener" was written by Tim Doyle and directed by Chris Koch.

"Better Off Ted" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary Closed Captioning. This program carries a TV-PG,D,S parental guideline.
