08/03/2010 (08:00PM - 09:00PM) (Tuesday) : CRIPPLED EMOTIONALLY BY A FAILED CAREER, A ONCE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN AND FATHER HAS LOST HOPE IN HIMSELF AND HAS PUT HIS FAMILY AND MARRIAGE IN JEOPARDY�Robbins meets Ron and Marie, a husband and wife couple from New York. Over the course of Ron�s 23-year-career, he worked his way up the corporate ladder only to be laid off in 2008. He tried various ways to get back on his feet, but sadly nothing worked out, and his family is now facing an uncertain future. Marie is struggling to adjust to their new financial realities, and as they both fight to hold onto their home and support their children, their marriage hangs in the balance. Ron and Marie agree to put themselves in Robbins' hands while he guides them through a series of tough challenges, including sending them to spend the week at downtown LA's Midnight Mission. Hopefully this will bring them to the precipice of change and empower them to reach their personal goals. Tony Robbins stars.

(from NBC's press release, June 2010) NBC announced today that the new alternative series "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins" will premiere on Tuesday, July 27 (8-9 p.m. ET). "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins" is an inspirational, hour-long series starring Robbins and his team of experts who will help participants and their families overcome complex challenges and personal obstacles, and turn their lives around. Millions of people dream of making changes that will be for the better; Robbins will help to make this dream a reality for six people and their families around the country. In his first network television series, Robbins, who has dedicated himself to giving through both his work and philanthropic endeavors, will inspire people to find the tools to change their own lives, and also to reach out and help others as well. Guiding the participants through a series of tough challenges that will bring them to the precipice of change, Robbins will help empower each of them to reach their personal goals. |
