"PRIMETIME: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" TO AIR WINNING "HOW WOULD YOU DO IT?" VIEWER CONTEST SCENARIOS ON SPECIAL EDITION, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22 ON ABC

Every week, the popular ABC newsmagazine "Primetime: What Would You Do?" sets up everyday scenarios and then captures people's reactions using hidden cameras. For the first time, the show turns the tables and asks its viewers "how would you do it?" Nearly 12,000 fans submitted scenario ideas, dilemmas and pet peeves, touching on such themes as racism, public humiliation, attacks, bullying and more. Five scenarios of ethical dilemmas will be featured on a special edition of "Primetime: What Would You Do?" airing TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. Some cases seem to cry out for action - while others seem to present a choice. What would YOU do?

The show awarded three grand prize winners and featured two other viewers' scenarios. The three grand prize winners were offered round trip airfare and accommodations in New York City for a behind-the-scenes experience to watch their scenarios being taped. Scenarios include:

· Teenage Abortion: While eating at a restaurant, a teenaged girl tells her teen boyfriend that she's pregnant and wants to keep the baby. The boyfriend, visually upset, says for all to hear that he wants no part in the rearing of the child and suggests she end the pregnancy. Will anyone in the restaurant speak up? Submitted by: Grand Prize Winner Jared Smith from Chippewa Falls, WI

· Discrimination: A little person is hassled and mocked for his size by fellow customers while shopping. Will anyone intervene? Submitted by: Grand Prize Winner Casey Hubelbank from Meriden, CT

· Homophobic Child: What would you do if, while at a restaurant, you witnessed a father telling his child that he is gay, and the child loudly showing disgust and intolerance over the situation? Submitted by: Damen Sterling from Taylor, MI

· Wheelchair Abuse: A capable young woman in a wheelchair is shopping at her local grocery store when a well intentioned customer tries to help. When she politely declines the offer, the help quickly turns into harassment. How will other shoppers react when they see our highly independent disabled actress being patronized as if she's a child? Contest winner Amy Saffell says it's a situation she frequently faces. Submitted by: Grand Prize Winner Amy Saffell from Franklin, TN

· Insulted Because of Red Hair: A boy is insulted and abused by a group of boys at a diner. Will other patrons step in? Will anyone join in with the "ginger abuse" - when red heads are verbally attacked by others because of the color of their hair? Submitted by: Jonathan Gilsdorf from Rocklin, California (please note: Jonathan did not meet the contest age requirement and was not an official contestant)

· "WWYD" Classroom Assignment: John Quiones and the "WWYD?" cameras visit students from a Buffalo, New York middle school class who submitted scenario ideas for a teacher's assignment (these submissions were not official contest entries as they were sent in by minors)
