Burbank, CA (Thursday, June 9, 2011) - To ensure Chloe is capable of protecting herself at all times, Alek and Jasmine train her every night in order to teach her to trust her instincts when faced with danger. Not only does Chloe have night training, she also notices the development of a new power that leads her to once again put her life in danger for a human. Will Chloe finally realize it is too dangerous to protect her human friends and cut them out of her life, or will she continue to disobey the Mai and be the kind of Uniter she chooses to be? Find out in and all-new episode of "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" premiering Tuesday, July 5 at 9:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family.

Chloe must now master her new power of sonic hearing. In order to do so, she enlists the help of Alek, who advises her it is not wise to listen on other people's conversations when not necessary because one day she will hear something she does not like. Chloe brushes this off, only to overhear a conversation between her best friends, Paul and Amy, who she comes to realize may not be as supportive of her new life as she had hoped.

Meanwhile, Whitley (David S. Lee) meets with members of The Order, who inform him that his services are no longer needed. Angered by this, he decides to take matters into his own hands, and bribes members of The Order to ensure he gets what he wants. By choosing to make his only priority to have Chloe killed, Whitley is not only endangering his own life, but also the life of his son.

"The Nine Lives of Chloe King" will be executive-produced by Dan Berendsen ("Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Hannah Montana: The Movie") and John Ziffren ("Melissa & Joey," "Make It or Break It") with Alloy Entertainment's Leslie Morgenstein ("Pretty Little Liars," "The Lying Game," "Gossip Girl," "The Vampire Diaries") and Gina Girolamo. The drama is based on the book series "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" by Liz Braswell.

The series stars Skyler Samuels ("The Gates") as Chloe King; Amy Pietz ("The Office," "Caroline in the City") as Meredith King; Grey Damon ("True Blood," "Friday Night Lights") as Brian; newcomer Grace Phipps as Amy; Benjamin Stone ("10 Things I Hate About You") as Alek; Alyssa Diaz ("Southland") as Jasmine; and Ki Hong Lee ("The Secret Life of the American Teenager") as Paul.
