NEW YORK, July 25, 2011 - Mama lovin' and touch screen hatin' Lavell Crawford uses his hometown charm for surefire laughs in his one-hour World Premiere Stand-Up Special, "Lavell: Crawford: Can A Brother Get Some Love?" airing Friday, August 12 at 11:00 P.M. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL.

Filmed at the Roberts Orpheum Theatre in St. Louis, Crawford presents himself as a bubbly family man who has much love for mamas because "they got yo back." Crawford discusses his feelings on babies and children, how all mamas have superpowers and the humor in trying to be intimate with his spouse when their child is in the next room.

Funnyman Crawford recently filmed an episode of "Workaholics" for COMEDY CENTRAL and has been cast in a recurring role on the new season of AMC's Emmy(R) Award-winning "Breaking Bad." He can also be seen as a regular on E! Entertainment's "Chelsea Lately" and "Lopez Tonight" on TBS. Lavell gained huge national exposure on NBC's hit reality series "Last Comic Standing" and has been featured in "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents: Lavell Crawford."
