"PRIMETIME NIGHTLINE" GOES INSIDE THE WORLD OF MODELING IN "CELEBRITY SECRETS: A MODEL LIFE," WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 ON ABC

"Primetime Nightline" goes inside the world modeling with young girls who come from the cornfields of Iowa or Kansas to the streets of New York City to become models, though they often learn they must pay a high price for success. ABC News' Dan Harris explores the dreams and realities of the beauty business, on "Primetime Nightline: Celebrity Secrets - A Model Life," WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Cynthia McFadden anchors.

"Nightline's" cameras follow four teenage girls, scouted at a very young age, who come to New York unprepared for the harsh realities of the industry. In order to succeed, some say they must enter into a life of what one veteran describes as indentured servitude, dealing with unwanted attention from men who prey upon them. Its' an emotional roller-coaster, as the girls battle loneliness and rejection. Insiders admit that ethical, moral and sexual boundaries sometimes disappear in this business, but little is being done to stop it.

There are success stories as well as stories of innocence lost. Sena, who came to New York at 17, tells horrifying tales of what she says she encountered behind the closed doors of castings calls, as her dream began to turn into a nightmare; she has since left the business. Ehern, a house cleaner from Missouri, talks about her emotional journey as she discovers the real world of modeling. Sixteen-year-old Haley comes to New York and lives out a dream far bigger than she could have imagined.

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. John Donvan and Juju Chang are correspondents. Jeanmarie Condon is the Executive Producer. "Nightline" is the No. 1 program in late-night and is drawing its biggest audience in over eight years.
