01/09/2012 (08:00PM - 09:00PM) (Monday) : Jennifer Vargas, a teacher from Ventura, California, tests her knowledge against 10 opponents in a head-to-head trivia battle. If Vargas defeats five of the contestants, then she has the opportunity to walk away with the amount she has won up to this point -- or press her luck and try for the $1,000,000 grand prize. However, one wrong answer from Vargas or one of her competitors and they will be dropped through the floor and eliminated. Ben Bailey hosts.

DESCRIPTION: (from NBC's press release, October 2011) NBC announced today that "Who's Still Standing?" - a unique new primetime trivia competition show - will premiere on Monday, December 19 as a week-long strip, airing through Thursday, December 22 (each night 8-9 p.m. ET). The series will then air in its regular broadcast slot starting Monday, December 26 (8-9 p.m. ET) through January 30. The announcement was made today by Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC. "This family-friendly series is perfect programming for the holiday season. The compelling and fresh format features the best elements of a classic trivia match combined with physical comedy, providing an intense competition that can be enjoyed by all ages." said Telegdy. Hosted by two-time Emmy Award winner Ben Bailey ("Cash Cab"), the new series is based on the hit Israeli format entitled "Still Standing," which offers contestants the opportunity to win up to $1 million while competing in head-to-head trivia battles. The series had its global premiere on Israel's Channel 10 in December 2010.
