Five young and ambitious rookie cops continue to navigate the emotional trials and tribulations of their professional and personal lives. After two years on the job, these rookies are well on their way to becoming experienced cops. But at what cost? What price will they have to pay, both professionally and personally, to succeed at their jobs? And how can they stay true to themselves - maintaining their individuality and compassion - along the way? While a new rookie has joined 15 Division -- ex-soldier Nick Collins, who is trying to adapt to civilian policing after serving in Afghanistan -- the rest of the rookies are now entering their third year on the job. They have overcome the sophomore curse: that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. However this year, the rookies of 15 Division are going to have to learn to be careful what they wish for - and they are going to learn it the hard way. "Rookie Blue" premieres THURSDAY, MAY 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Officer Andy McNally finally thinks she has everything she's always wanted. Her three-month suspension for "conduct unbecoming an officer"-- jeopardizing Sam Swarek's undercover operation and, consequently, his life -- is behind her at long last. She's back at 15 Division and ready to move forward on all fronts. But having it all comes at a price. This season, the stakes of the job and its mortal consequences will touch each of our rookies' lives, and they'll learn first-hand the high personal cost of wearing the uniform.

In the premiere episode, "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life," Andy's real life comes flooding back when she returns to 15 Division after a three-month suspension, ready to face an official tribunal that will decide if she should be reinstated to active duty. Reuniting with her police family, she also meets her possible replacement - new rookie Nick Collins. A tense face-off with fellow officer Sam Swarek is interrupted when they are involved in a multi-car collision, caused by a very drunk driver, Henry McLeod (William Shatner), with a serious grudge against the police. When a mysterious young girl vanishes from the scene of the accident, Andy connects her to a seven-year-old cold case. Will Andystill on suspension - and the rest of the Division be able to find the missing girl and uncover the circumstances of her disappearance before it is too late? Whether Andy and Sam can reignite the passion they once had may be an even bigger question.

After two years as first responders, these officers have learned just how badly a rookie mistake can hinder them -- and that there is a fine line between triumph and calamity. One day on the job can change them permanently. This year the stakes are higher, the cost is greater, and the victories and tragedies have far greater consequences in a world where danger, sex, and high-stakes drama intermingle with the natural heartbreaks of policing.
