"WHAT WOULD YOU DO?," FEATURING "MILLIONAIRE" HOST MEREDITH VIEIRA, AIRS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19 ON ABC

When People See a Situation that Cries Out for Action, Do They Step in, Back Away or Just Walk on by?

When you think no one is watching... what would you do? This week the popular ABC News series "What Would You Do?" features an all new cheating scenario with "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" host Meredith Vieira.

Using hidden cameras, "What Would You Do?" establishes everyday scenarios and then captures people's reactions. Whether people are compelled to act or mind their own business, John Quiones reports on their split-second and often surprising decision-making process. "What Would You Do?" airs FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12 (9:01-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

October 19, 2012 scenarios include:

"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire": Thousands of hopeful "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" contestants line up outside a New York City studio every season to take a written multiple choice audition test that could get them on the show and potentially make them a millionaire. So what would you do if the test-taker next to you started cheating? Will any real auditioners stand up to our cheaters before they go on to try and win it all? Meredith Vieira, the Emmy Award-winning host of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," joins John Quiones on the "Millionaire" set. "Millionaire" airs weekdays. Halloween/Gender Appropriate Costumes: Shopping for a Halloween costume can be stressful enough, but what happens when a child insists on dressing in a costume that's meant for the opposite gender? Will anyone say anything?

War of the Roses: When a cashier questions a man who is buying two diamond bracelets at a jewelry story, one for his wife and one for another woman, will any other customers say anything?

Daughter on a Diet: When a mom forces a very restrictive diet on her young daughter at a restaurant, not letting the girl order what she wants from the menu, will fellow diners say anything?

"What Would You Do?" has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival and the Avon Foundation's 2006 Voice of Change Award for exposing "injustice and wrongdoing against women and bringing the message of domestic violence to the mainstream."
