THE TOP 12 CONTESTANTS PERFORM ICONIC BREAK UP SONGS, ON AN ALL-NEW LIVE EPISODE OF ABC'S 'BOY BAND'

"Break Up Week!" - The remaining 12 boy band hopefuls pull at the heartstrings as they take on iconic break up songs. We follow three new bands as they learn new songs, new harmonies and continue to build new bonds with their bandmates. Each of the bands will perform, live, before architects Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland, who will critique their performances and select the bottom two vocalists who are up for elimination. Audiences at home will then vote, live, and decide who will stay and who will go, on "Boy Band," airing on THURSDAY, AUGUST 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

In "Boy Band," undiscovered young talent from across the country battle it out to become a member of the next great music sensation. Hosted by singer Rita Ora, the 10-episode series will chronicle the journey of young male vocalists who will compete for a chance to show the world that they have what it takes to win a coveted spot in America's next great boy band and receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records. And for the first time ever, viewers at home will vote for their favorite five band members, live, creating a group America can truly call its own.

Viewers may cast their vote through iPowow's mobile voting platform at abc.com/boyband, or via SMS from their mobile device. Additionally, viewers will be able to take part in live "Boy Band" trivia and games, extending the experience of the show through multiple screens.

"Boy Band" is produced by Matador Content. Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson, Jane Mun and Joel Relampagos serve as executive producers.
