FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The highly anticipated season eight premiere of the #1 show in all of television among adults 18-49, AMC's "The Walking Dead," launches Sunday, October 22nd at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the 100th episode, "Mercy," Rick and his group, along with the Kingdom and Hilltop, have banded together to bring the fight to Negan and the Saviors.

Last year, Rick Grimes and his group of survivors were confronted with their deadliest challenge yet. With the comfort of Alexandria, they let their guard down, only to be reminded how brutal the world they live in can be. The introduction of Negan and the Saviors broke our group.

This year, Rick brings "All Out War" to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better-equipped, and ruthless -- but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, "The Walking Dead" reigns as television's most watched drama for Adults 18-49. "The Walking Dead" tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, and follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The series is executive produced by showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse.

Following the 100th episode/season eight premiere of "The Walking Dead," beginning at 10:07 p.m.ET/PT, viewers can catch a special two-hour edition of the live after-show, "Talking Dead," hosted by Chris Hardwick. This extended edition will broadcast from The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and feature the cast and producers from "The Walking Dead," along with surprise guests.

Then late night, season seven of "Comic Book Men" premieres. In the debut episode, "Return of the Living Stash," Kevin Smith and the guys discuss how "The Walking Dead" started out as a comic book and became a cultural phenomenon.

In its seventh season, AMC's popular unscripted series "Comic Book Men," takes another dive into the world of geekdom by following the antics in and around master fanboy Kevin Smith's New Jersey comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. Leading the team behind the shop's counter are Walt, Bryan, Michael and Ming, who geek out over mind-blowing pop culture artifacts and the legends behind them. Special guests this season include "Luke Cage" star Mike Colter, Rosario Dawson, Burt Ward, Method Man, and Freddy Kruger himself, Robert Englund. Whether it's buying and selling memorabilia or embarking on wild adventures away from the store, The Stash cast shares all the juicy details with Kevin during their hilarious podcast, which is woven throughout the series.
