"Will You Accept This Rose?" - After going on a date with an old flame with ulterior motives, Courtney realizes that hidden agendas also apply to dating now that he's a public figure; now he will need T.K. and Jermaine's help to recreate a throwback prom-posal to hopefully get a second chance with someone he truly likes. Meanwhile, Reverend Ocho Okoye (Arsenio Hall) tries to get a hesitant Dina to join the church choir which leads to a soulful result, on "The Mayor," TUESDAY, NOV. 7 (9:30-10:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.

The series stars Brandon Micheal Hall as Courtney Rose, Lea Michele as Valentina Barella, Bernard David Jones as Jermaine Leforge, Marcel Spears as T.K. Clifton and Yvette Nicole Brown as Dina Rose.

Guest starring Arsenio Hall as Reverend Okoye, Kali Hawk as Amber and Meagan Tandy as Danielle.

"Will You Accept This Rose?" was written by Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins and was directed by James Griffiths.

"The Mayor" was created by Jeremy Bronson ("Speechless," "The Mindy Project," "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"). Jeremy Bronson, Daveed Diggs (Tony(R) winner for Broadway's "Hamilton"), Jamie Tarses ("Happy Endings") and James Griffiths ("black-ish") also serve as executive producers. DESCRIPTION:
(from ABC's press release, May 2017) Young rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall) needs his big break. For years, he's toiled away in a small inner-city apartment, making music in his junk-filled bedroom closet. Tired of waiting for opportunity, Courtney cooks up the publicity stunt of the century: Running for mayor of his hometown in California to generate buzz for his music career. Unfortunately for Courtney, his master plan goes wildly awry, ending in the most terrifying of outcomes: An election victory. With the help of his mother (Yvette Nicole Brown, "Community") and friends, including Valentina ("Glee's" Lea Michele), Courtney will have to overcome his hubris if he wants to transform the struggling city he loves.
