'AMERICAN IDOL' SHOWCASES THE TOP 21 IN A SPECIAL TWO-PART EVENT, FEATURING NEW, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN PERFORMANCES, KICKING OFF SUNDAY, APRIL 12, ON ABC

"American Idol - This Is Me (Part #1)" - The journey continues on "American Idol," with "American Idol - This Is Me," a special two-part event beginning SUNDAY, APRIL 12 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Before America gears up to vote for the Top 20 finalists, "American Idol" delves deeper into the lives of the Top 21 contestants as they share their journey so far with stories along the way and all-new spectacular, never-before-seen performances. Tune in this Sunday to learn more about the Top 21 and catch up with some former fan-favorite contestants - such as Alabama's beloved garbage man Doug Kiker - to see where they are now. (TV-PG, L) Episodes can also be viewed the next day on demand and on Hulu.

Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next singing sensation are music industry legends and all-star judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Emmy(R) Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest returns as host of the beloved series, and famed multimedia personality Bobby Bones continues his role as in-house mentor.
