Art-loving DI Mick Palmer (Stephen Moyer, True Blood) and DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh, Virdee) work for Heritage Crime - the Met's smallest department - investigating murders and thefts in the shadowy world of art, antiquities, and priceless artifacts.

Episode 1, "Pictures At An Exhibition"

When an art historian is found murdered in his home, DI Mick Palmer and DC Shazia Malik are sent to investigate. As they dig into the case, they uncover a vandalized painting, sabotaged security footage, and a dark family secret.

Episode 2, "Dead & Buried"

The detectives look into the discovery of a gold Viking hoard stolen from a prehistoric burial chamber. After the site is reopened, they unearth a series of secrets and betrayals leading to a thousand-year-old cover-up.
